After 30 years in the nonprofit world—and a bit of for-profit business building along the way—I’ve learned what helps mission-driven organizations not just survive, but actually work better.

My experiences as leader of one of the largest Scout camping operations in the country and a private school principal offered plenty of examples to follow and some to avoid!

I started True North to share that hard-won experience with schools, camps, youth programs, and nonprofits that are doing truly important work but feeling stretched thin.
